2 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE SmackDown (6 March)

Ups...

2. Drew Gulak's Big Chance

WWE Elimination Chamber 2020

Provided they're given enough time on the card to make it work, Daniel Bryan vs. Drew Gulak will rock the house in Philly at Elimination Chamber; both men are that good in-ring. This is a spot Gulak could only have dreamed of when he was being woefully under-utilised several months ago too.

Look at that, some positivity. About damn time.

If there's one thing SmackDown got right, it was that backstage exchange between Bryan and Gulak. The heel, after weeks of running his mouth without backing it up, had his trap shut by some babyface gusto, and now fans who savour technical wrestling masterpieces have something extra to look forward to on the Chamber pay-per-view.

If you indulge that positivity for a second, the Chamber has some nice treats on offer. Aleister Black vs. AJ Styles should be fun, the cage matches take care of themselves, and now Bryan vs. Gulak provides something unique. Fingers crossed the roster is motivated enough to ensure this pay-per-view isn't the complete waste of time most assume it will be.
