2 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE SmackDown (6 March)

1. The General Lack Of Stars

Goldberg Universal Title

Here and some breakaway plus points and negatives from the roster WWE used on SmackDown.

Plus: WWE brought in members of the nWo, had Women's Champ Bayley in action and gave fans a lengthy gauntlet with Elimination Chamber ramifications. In addition, Sheamus got a squash match win and Bray Wyatt appeared on the big screen via 'Firefly Fun House'.

Negative: Where were names like Goldberg (y'know, the current Universal Champion who has a match to promote), John Cena (ditto, minus the title) and Roman Reigns? Exactly none of those marquee stars were on the broadcast at all. WWE are just over four weeks out from WrestleMania 36!

This week's SmackDown was seriously lacking in terms of star power. A Reigns match, a follow-up angle involving Goldberg and/or something to do with Cena beyond a Wyatt pre-tape would've been nice. It was all so pedestrian.
