2 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (March 29)

4. Can’t Burn Him, So RKO Him

“Jumping the shark” is a popular term that indicates when a TV show has crossed the point of no return, but it’s been used to describe other things too.

While you could argue that The Fiend jumped the shark a long time ago as a character, he certainly jumped the shark when he was burned alive at TLC in December. After that, if/when he came back, it simply wouldn’t be believable for him to wrestle a match. The guy survived being burned alive, but a body slam can hurt him?

So hearing Randy Orton deliver a promo about sinking to the depths of hell to get Fiend out of his life – no matter how well-delivered the line was – was just comical. Short of using dynamite to blow him up, there’s no way you could think Orton could beat Fiend at WrestleMania.

And if he does pin Fiend after an RKO, we should all laugh our butts off.
