We just went through a ridiculous angle where WrestleMania opponents Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair teamed up to face the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions before dissolving into an outright brawl, with the SmackDown Women’s Champion turning heel.

So of course on Monday night, we saw the women’s tag champs confront Rhea Ripley and Asuka after the challenger had attacked the Empress and laid her out. They then challenged Ripley and Asuka to a tag match next week, which Rhea accepted.

That means on the go-home episode of Raw before WrestleMania 37, two opponents in a title match will team up against tag team champions – which we’ve already seen for a month on SmackDown. No one wins in this scenario, with champions on both sides of the match. And this is supposedly how WWE is going to build a championship match between their top women’s wrestler and their star of the future.

But nevermind all that, can Asuka and Ripley get along after Rhea dumped a table on the champ? Tune in to find out!
