12. Drew McIntyre

Best in the world 2021

No amount of credit and praise is enough for what Drew McIntyre did as WWE Champion, carrying Raw's belt with dignity and respect through one of the most trying periods in company history.

That Drew's title run was so well-received in this deeply weird era of wrestling is testament to his endearing skill as a performer. He is charismatic, affable, and genuinely funny at times, will still retaining a bad*ss aura. Assertive when he needs to be, but never to the point of crossing over into heel-dom, McIntyre has succeeded where countless WWE babyfaces have failed since competition left the American marketplace. Drew makes you want to root for him. He's very, very good at what he does.

What separates McIntyre from most of the names higher up on this list is that his work doesn't typically peak as high. His job is far tougher, admittedly, as WWE's more rigid system places greater restrictions on his performers, though he still creates excellence on a weekly basis. This week's Raw clash with Sheamus was the latest example of his bruising excellence.
