20 Absolute Best Wrestlers In The World Right Now

8. Roman Reigns

Arguing that Roman Reigns isn't a tremendous professional wrestler has become an indefensible position.

The criticism surrounding his push is warranted. He'll never become the universally popular babyface the company desperately want him to be, and attempting to promote him as such is daft, but this WWE's fault, not Roman's. Strip this away and you're left with an outstanding big stage performer who has grown far beyond his green early days, and developed into a fantastic all-rounder.

Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor: each wrestled their best match of 2017 against 'The Big Dog.' This is no coincidence. Roman's resumé of great bouts is now too vast for even his harshest critics to deny, and the notion that he has somehow been "carried" to so many outstanding moments is patently ridiculous.

Reigns has blossomed into one of the best workers in WWE, and his microphone skills have improved immensely too (he still has some work to do, but the days of "sufferin' succotash" are long gone). Is he perfect? No, but nobody is - not even those listed above him. Reigns is one of the very best in the world in 2018, and is only likely to improve as his career progresses.
