20 Best Matches Of Brock Lesnar's Career
13. Vs. Eddie Guerrero - No Way Out 2004
Like AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan after him, Eddie Guerrero was one of the first men to showcase how to have a great match with Brock Lesnar, despite the large size difference. This match also happens to be the crowning achievement in the legendary career of the late, great Latino Heat.
As would become the formula for many of the best matches on the current WWE Champion's resume, The Next Big Thing dominated the much smaller Guerrero for a majority of the affair. The Mexican luchador was not able to get much offense in as he was systematically picked apart by suplexes, knees, and strong submissions by Lesnar. Guerrero was able to fight back, eventually getting in some offense before an F-5 by the WWE Champion took down both his challenger and the referee. Attempting to use his WWE Title as a weapon, Brock was interrupted by Goldberg who laid him out with a Spear.
Eddie would come to just in time to hit a DDT on Lesnar onto the title and a Frog Splash to win the WWE Championship for the first and only time in his career. While the match was great, what holds it back from rising up the ranks further was the predictable interference by Goldberg making Guerrero seem second rate to the impending rivalry between the two men who would soon leave WWE.
