20 Best TNA Wrestlers Ever

12. Abyss

In more ways than one, Abyss is basically the Kane of TNA.

While he may not be the most loved wrestler on the roster, he’s been one of their most effective members throughout his entire run in the company. He has main-evented pay-per-views, he’s opened up shows, he’s been in barbaric hardcore matches, done some comedy and even played a completely different character during his tenure. Through it all, he’s worked well in every role he's been slotted in, and has been one of their best homegrown talents.

He was on the first ever TNA show as Justice, and then was repackaged as Abyss a year later. That character worked out incredibly well for him, as he battled the company’s best under the moniker, but also took more abuse than any other wrestler in the company during that time.

Late in his career, Abyss went away and Joseph Park was on the case to find him. This was, of course, Christopher Parks the man who played Abyss, but he was simply great in the role. It may have gone on a bit too long, but it showed just how versatile he could be.

Currently, Abyss has been repackaged once more in the Decay stable, and continues to be a positive contribution to the program.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
