20 Best TNA Wrestlers Ever

11. EC III

Derrick Bateman was a decent comedy act in NXT, but EC III has been a solid main event player in TNA.

He’s made WWE look foolish for letting him go, perhaps more than just about anyone else in recent memory. Instead of going to TNA to cut one of their typical “I was underutilized in WWE, now I can finally be myself!” promos, he was cast a completely new character, and it immediately clicked.

As the privileged nephew of Dixie Carter, EC III became one of the most entertaining acts on Impact right upon his arrival. He was great as a sniveling, arrogant heel, but his turn to the good side has been just as successful. He has the charisma, the poise and the in-ring ability to be a name in the business for years to come, and without TNA, he wouldn’t have been given that platform on a worldwide stage. He is absolutely one of the company’s greatest success stories and one of their best wrestlers ever.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
