20 Best Triple H Wrestling Matches Ever
16. 30-Man Royal Rumble Match - Royal Rumble 2002
The 2002 30-Man Royal Rumble is possibly one of the most underrated matches of its type in history. It has one of the best line-ups for any Rumble match with the Undertaker, the Hardys, Steve Austin, Big Show, Kane, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, and any number of names who could have plausibly won the whole thing.
It's also full of memorable moments, like the Hurricane's attempt at a double chokeslam, Undertaker's shock elimination at the hands of Maven, the surprise return of Mr. Perfect, and of course the return of Triple H after 8 months on the shelf following his quad tear.
He left the ring as a hated heel, but returned with some of the biggest face reactions you'll ever hear after entering the match at 22 and taking out everyone before coming face-to-face with his former partner, the Texas Rattlesnake. Their reunion was interrupted following the aforementioned Hurricane before he was tossed out in short order.
The match eventually came down to the Game, Austin, Kurt Angle and Mr. Perfect, one of the best final fours ever. The two wrestling technicians threw out Austin before Triple H removed Perfect from the bout. Angle would then throw Hunter over the ropes but celebrated prematurely as both feet didn't hit the floor. The Game took advantage and eliminated the Olympic Gold Medalist for his first of two Royal Rumble victories.
