6. Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon (SummerSlam 1995)
Facing one another in two distinctly different matches involving ladders, good pals Shawn Michaels and Scott 'Razor Ramon' Hall were brilliant during both bouts. After the success of their first encounter at WrestleMania X (give it time), it's not much of a surprise that Vince McMahon and the WWF wanted another round, scheduling a rematch at Summerslam 1995. The results? Spectacular. The audience? In raptures. Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon? In a lot of pain, but likely smiling from ear-to-ear at what they had achieved. One of the better aspects of the Summerslam match is that it didn't feel like a re-run, which is truly a sign of the talent on show from both men. Indeed, it seemed like Razor and Michaels were more comfortable with the ladder itself during this second collision. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x613ln_wwe-shawn-michaels-vs-razor-ramon-l_sport The confidence both men had in their own performances just resonated through the screen at fans, and it's easy to hear how into it announcers Vince McMahon and Michael 'Doc Hendrix' Hayes are at ringside. The WWF was threatening to change as early as the early-90's, going in a new direction, and this was the culmination of that. Matches such as Ramon vs. Michaels II are reminders of the kind of theater wrestling can provide.
