20 Best Wrestling Tag Team Matches Ever

7. Blood Generation Vs. Do FIXER (ROH Supercard Of Honor 2006)

If Japan’s Dragon Gate promotion is known for anything, it’s their exciting multi-man tag matches. The company churn-out outstanding eight and ten-man bouts like nobody’s business, and there have been times when the company’s trios championships were treated with the same reverence as their Open the Dream Gate belt (their world title equivalent).

DG enjoyed a healthy working relationship with Ring of Honor in the mid-2000’s, and Do FIXER vs. Blood Generation was the best thing to come from the agreement. Watching it at the time, you could really tell that CIMA, Masato Yoshino, and co. were desperate to put their home promotion on the map in North America, and this determination produced an ROH classic.

The match was startlingly fast. Nicknamed “Speed Star,” Yoshino has always been one of the fastest wrestlers on the planet, but all six set an inhuman pace. They barely rest for a minute throughout, busting out all kinds of crazy double team moves and high spots, before racing towards the finish. Do FIXER won, but it didn’t really matter: the goal was to force the audience to sit up and take notice, and they did just that.
