20 Best Wrestling Tag Team Matches Ever

14. The Shield Vs. Team Hell No & Ryback (WWE TLC 2012)

Is this the best debut match in WWE history? Quite possibly. The Shield had only been on television for a few weeks after debuting at Survivor Series 2012, but they’d already established themselves as WWE’s most fearsome force. Nobody was safe in their path of destruction, and after starting life as CM Punk’s mercenaries, they fought three of his biggest rivals at the TLC PPV.

The contest not only established Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose as great individual wrestlers, but a brutally effective team. They fought with a cohesion that belied their relative inexperience by regularly cutting-off their more tenured opponents, then taking each one out of the match at various points.

They had tremendous opposition, too. Daniel Bryan was the best pure wrestler in WWE at the time, Kane was still a highly-effective monster, and Ryback, though limited, brought an impressive power game to the table. The two trios meshed perfectly, and while everyone looked strong, The Shield were always going to walk away with the victory. This was the match that started their rise up the card, and after just one bout, there was no doubt that all three were headed for the stars.
