20 Biggest Wrestling Moments That Ever Happened In July

8. Wendi Richter Ends The Fabulous Moolah's Legendary Reign

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePHS6dHfjT0 Date: July 23rd, 1984 This probably doesn't get a lot of publicity or discussion within the Internet Wrestling Community, but it's a very historic moment, especially seeing as though we'll never see something like it again. Moolah won the NWA World Women's Title on September 18th, 1956. It became the WWF Women's Title, but Moolah didn't officially lose it until the above listed date... July 23rd, 1984. Those aren't typos. In reality, she dropped the title four times in that span, but those aren't counted as official in the title lineage. Even if they were, that's not exactly a lot of reigns in a 28-year period. As it stands, though, Moolah held the title for a whopping 10,170 days. She was 33 years old when she won it, and she was 61 when she lost it (on the day after her birthday). That's another thing you won't ever see again, all by itself. A 61-year-old woman as the WWE Divas Champion? Try to picture that happening. Moolah was still winning the title for the next three years, too, getting two more reigns after losing this one. That's insane. Some will argue that this doesn't belong on the list, but when it comes to the incredible length of the title reign, and the age of the champion going into the match, we'll never see anything like this again. It belongs.
