20 Dumbest Gimmick Matches In WCW History

8. Triple Decker Cage Match

Say, remember Ready to Rumble? It was a hot garbage gross-out comedy starring David Arquette, Scott Caan and a bevy of WCW wrestlers. The film featured a three-level cage match, a purposely hyperbolic farce, climaxing with a guy rescuing a dirt mall Jerry Lawler by crashing a motorcycle through the chain links.

Naturally, Vince Russo decided to do it for real. Twice. The first time, he called it "WarGames 2000" and booked Sting, Booker T, Goldberg and KroniK against Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner and the Harris Twins. They had to retrieve the belt from the topmost cage and fight their way to the floor. It wasn't great, but it was better than the first time WCW tried this out for real.

At Slamboree 2000, Jeff Jarrett won the title by defeating DDP with help from … David Arquette. And yes, David Arquette was WCW Champion at the time.

Defining Moment: Kevin Nash double-swerving Vince Russo to win WarGames 2000 for nWo 2000.
