20 Former WWE Stars Who Should Enter A Gimmick Battle Royal At WrestleMania 37
2. Al Snow
Where to bloody begin with the career of Al Snow?
After his first underwhelming run in the WWF as Leif Cassidy, one half of The New Rockers, Snow headed back to ECW to create one of the goofiest characters we would ever see.
He became a schizophrenic individual carrying a head prop to ringside, which he talked to as if it were a real person. Sounds mad right? Well not to the ECW faithful. At one time the gimmick was so over, that promoters started handing out Styrofoam heads to fans.
From there, ‘Head’ assumed widespread popularity with WWF crowds upon Snow’s return during the Attitude Era. However, this was when the lunacy ramped up. Whilst becoming a staple of the Hardcore division, including moments such as fighting himself in a hardcore match, Snow replaced ‘Head’ with his chihuahua Pepper. After this, they placed Snow in a feud with Big Boss Man who kidnapped the poor animal, fed it to Snow, before the rivalry culminated with the infamously bad ‘Kennel From Hell’ match.
There may be no wrestler in history to have been given a worse lineage of creative ideas, yet still be as entertaining as Al Snow was - and a WrestleMania Gimmick Battle Royal would be offensively incomplete without him.
