20 Former WWE Stars Who Should Return For Brand Split 2016
6. Daivari
Despite a reputation from the indies as a good worker, the diminutive Shawn Daivari was brought into WWE as a manager - specifically as a manager for Muhammad Hassan. That gimmick didn't last long, but it made Daivari a hated heel to the WWE Universe. He would go on to manage Kurt Angle and The Great Khali during main-event programs for both men.
After his managerial tenure ended, Daivari spent a bit of time as a wrestler, but he struggled against opponents like Paul London and Brian Kendrick and was unable to stake a claim to the Cruiserweight Championship. After a brief feud with Jim Duggan on Raw, he was released from the company.
Daivari was praised for his microphone work and his dedication to wrestling, but he never got a chance to really show what he could do in the ring. Since his firing, he's competed on the indies and done work for TNA, ROH, and Lucha Underground, keeping his skills sharp. His younger brother has been announced for the Cruiserweight Classic, so maybe the time is right for the 32-year-old Daivari to return (minus the "evil foreigner" gimmick).
