20 Former WWE Stars Who Should Return For Brand Split 2016
14. Percy Watson
Many WWE stars have been called up to the main roster and given a terrible gimmick by the creative team, one which dooms them to failure. As frustrating as that can be, it's even worse when men and women spend years in development, then get cut without even getting the chance to compete in front of a larger audience.
That's what happened to Percy Watson, who was first signed to WWE in 2009. He was part of the cast of the second season of NXT, but he was one of the few contestants who didn't get a shot on the main roster. While Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty would join The Nexus and Alex Riley and Titus O'Neal would eventually find their own way, Watson returned to NXT when it became a developmental territory. In 2013, he was released.
Watson has continued to wrestle since then, and another shot - or a first shot - in WWE could lead to his breakout. After four years of development, he's earned it.
