There have been a lot of manager/wrestler pairings in WWE history, but none have felt more like a bromance than what Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar have developed. Simply, the two need each other. It doesnt feel right when one is on the screen and the other is not. Heyman just isnt the same with Curtis Axel, Cesaro or Ryback by his side. He needs The Beast to complete him. Brock came into WWE alongside Heyman back in 2002. It was a brilliant move as Heyman could gain some credibility as a manager again, as well as do the majority of the talking for his client. Brock would then get to learn from one of the greatest wrestling minds the world has ever seen. It worked. Within six months he became the Undisputed Champion. That's one hell of a pairing. The two ended up feuding, but it just wasn't quite the same. After Brock left for UFC, Heyman remained by his side, and co-wrote his book with him. Thankfully, WWE was wise enough to reunite them after Brock's return in 2012. The wresting world would be less fun simply without Heyman's delightful pronunciation of his client: "Ba-ROCK Lesnar!"
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
