Were largely trying to avoid full-time tag teams here, but E & Cs partnership extended well beyond their time together as a team. Besides the career of the two still being heavily linked, Jay Reso and Adem Copleland grew up together in Orangeville, Canada. It's a near life long friendship, that benefited both men tremendously. The two actually faced off against each other in their first WWF tryout match, which landed Edge a job. Christian spent some more time on the indy scene, before his buddy put in a good word for him, and helped land him a spot in Dory Funk's training camp. Shortly after Edge received a push on the main roster, Christian came in as his brother. They joined Gangrel as The Brood, then later ditched him, and their goth gear to form the beloved tag team of Edge and Christian. Along with The Hardyz and The Dudley Boyz, they made the division popular again, and put on a variety of show stealing matches. Their fondness for 5-second poses, soda, and irritating Mick Foley made them the most fun team to watch in backstage segments. Eventually, though, they split and Christian went off to TNA to pursue a singles career. He eventually returned to WWE, but they were strangely no longer storyline brothers. Still, their bromance was strong. While Edge had to call it a career early, the two remain strongly linked. It was Christian who inducted Edge into the WWE Hall of Fame, and Edge is certain to do the same for his fellow Canadian in the future.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
