Kurt Angle's tenure in TNA has astonishingly been longer than his main WWF/WWE run from 1999-2006. Since signing on at the Impact Zone in '06, the Olympic Gold Medal winner has had an incredible amount of awesome matches. More of them will be detailed throughout this article, but the first is a match with Jay Lethal at No Surrender 2007.

At the time, Lethal was considered a breakout star for TNA. Using his famed 'Black Machismo' gimmick, he parodied 'Macho Man' Randy Savage expertly. Fans absolutely adored the character, but there needed to be more than simple imitation to turn Jay Lethal into a headliner for the company.

That's where Angle came in, working diligently to make Lethal look like a star on the pay-per-view. Going in, Kurt was the reigning TNA X Division Champion, a belt Lethal would win after around 12 minutes of whirlwind action.

Angle had other matches on the show, including a TNA Tag-Team Title opener and main event for the TNA Title opposite Abyss. That didn't stop him from giving his all against Jay Lethal, giving his younger peer everything he had.
