These days, Austin Aries is exactly the kind of talent that WWE require to beef up the NXT roster. Vastly experienced and with name value, Aries is perfect for the developmental brand, especially for touring purposes. In TNA, he was someone who managed to rise through the ranks in rapid fashion.

A previous run in TNA between 2005-2007 had been decent, but it was his stint from 2011-2015 that fans will remember more fondly. Initially brought on board as part of a revamped X Division, Aries eventually found himself further up the card and in the mix for the TNA Heavyweight Title.

At Turning Point 2012, Austin met Jeff Hardy in a Ladder Match for the gold. Bouts involving ladders are Hardy's bread and butter, but he was aided by the dynamic performance of Aries. Without doubt, this must be considered one of the best Ladder Matches in TNA history to date.

The big bumps people have come to expect from Jeff were present, but both put more focus on actually using the ladder to climb and win. This is must-see.
