The Doctor of Thuganomics, The Rated 'R' Superstar, The Hurricane, The Ruthless Aggression era definitely boasted its fair share of fondly remembered gimmicks.

But away from those far more regularly discussed characters found wandering around SmackDown fists and the giant Monday night Titantron, there was another wonderful personality that likely deserved more success than it ultimately experienced.

Generating all kinds of heat by blasting the folks watching on for their decision to scoff nachos over protein bars, watching the easy-to-despise fitness freak Simon Dean get battered by various top stars after trying to cram his Simon System down viewers' throats was a joy.

And while some may actually be able to recall that amusing time 'The Animal' tried some of his "product" before completely annihilating the cocky purple-sweatsuited heel, arguably Dean's finest hour actually came on the April 4, 2005 edition of Raw.

After being rudely interrupted by that man again 'The Texas Rattlesnake', Dean brilliantly squirmed his way through a never-ending series of 'Stone Cold' ordered push-ups. Then, in the wake of Maven inadvertently giving Austin a protein shower, an almighty can of whoop-ass was opened up on both as the Raw after WrestleMania 21 crowd went wild.

The gimmick definitely rubbed folks up the wrong way, acted as the perfect foil for WWE's badass babyfaces, and was easily one of the most underrated comedy acts of the 2000's before Dean finally left the company in 2007.
