20 Late 90's WCW Stars You Totally Don't Remember

10. Lash LeRoux

One problem WCW had with many of their wrestlers was getting them to fully connect with the audience. Lash LeRoux was a fiery babyface upon his arrival on the scene in 1998. At first, he was actually known as Mark LeRoux, the name 'Lash' coming later in 1999. Primarily part of the Cruiserweight division, LeRoux didn't really forge much of a bond with WCW fans. The audience were accustomed to seeing high-flying stars like Billy Kidman, Rey Mysterio and Juvetud Guerrera in the Cruiserweight division by 1999. In addition, more grounded wrestlers like Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko were either captivating performers or incredibly talented grapplers. Lash LeRoux was simply mediocre, not somebody who stood out from the pack. It was therefore no surprise that he didn't ever really reach the top of the Cruiserweight mountain. Later, as part of the 'Misfits In Action' stable, Lash would capture the WCW Tag-Team Titles alongside Chavo Guerrero (then known as 'Lieutenant Loco'). There was potential there for LeRoux, but it's understandable why a lot of fans don't really remember him.
