20 Late 90's WCW Stars You Totally Don't Remember

11. Kwee Wee

Another product of the WCW Power plant, Kwee Wee was a strange character. Much like one of the WWF's later creations, Rico Constantino, there were effeminate overtones to the persona that irked many adults males in the audience. Playing to the base instincts of people is something pro wrestling has always done, but it seems WCW didn't really seem to have any real explanation for why Kwee Wee was a heel. Eagle-eyed readers may notice that Sharmell Sullivan-Huffman was the man's valet during his time on WCW TV. Known as 'Paisley', Booker T' wife also previously accompanied such characters as Prince Iaukea to ringside. Her role as part of Kwee Wee's overall presentation was also unclear. If he was supposed to be homosexual, why did WCW's announcers intimate that the pair were an item? As 'Bruce', another homosexual character, the man would later wrestle in TNA. It was with WCW that he cut his teeth however, debuting in 1998 and eventually challenging more often than not for the WCW Cruiserweight Title. Kwee Wee wouldn't win any championship gold in either WCW or TNA, but he does remain a curiously forgotten performer.
