20 Major WrestleMania Matches We Didn't Get

18. Bret Hart Vs. The Ultimate Warrior (WrestleMania 9)

Upon becoming the WWF Champion in 1992, Hart was informed that the idea was to keep him as titleholder for a year or so. While that didn't happen, if the original idea is to be believed, then Hart would have needed a high-profile opponent to go over on at WrestleMania. Warrior was a possibility, something Hart faintly alludes to in his 2007 book. Although he doesn't explicitly say that the match was a done deal, he does say that Warrior's firing in November 1992 prevented him from being the one to put Hart over in April, something Hart was relishing the idea of. Instead, we got the infamous Hart --> Yokozuna --> Hogan switcharoo in Las Vegas, something that Hogan didn't seem to appreciate when he ran down the WWF and the belt itself during a May 1993 interview in Japan.
