17. Macho Man Randy Savage Vs. Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 9/10)
The timeframe on this is a bit vague, but the 1993-94 calendar seems to be where this proposed idea most likely takes place. Savage was finding himself on the sideline more and more, benched while McMahon fortified the ranks of the younger generation. As history would show, this continued slight didn't sit well with the Macho Man. Savage proposed to McMahon a feud with young Michaels that would conclude with Savage putting over the 'Heartbreak Kid' in a star-making performance. Savage wanted to not only give a new star a concrete endorsement in the ring, but also show that he still had it as a wrestler. McMahon instead nixed the idea, and Savage watched WrestleMania IX from behind the announcer's desk. Little more than a year and a half later, he was treated as a headliner once more - in WCW.
