20 Major WrestleMania Matches We Didn't Get

13. Bret Hart Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (WrestleMania 14)

It's funny: Hart never definitively put Austin over, even as a heel. Granted, had the circumstances come up, Hart would have had no problems putting over a respected star of Austin's caliber clean as a sheet, especially if he got to be the one to thrust the WWF Championship into Austin's possession. Austin was getting the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 14 anyway, and with long-term planning, the idea of Hart putting over the undeniable top star in the promotion to complete the ascent was a very strong possibility. Then, wouldn't you know it, Vince decides he doesn't like Hart's loaded contract, and yada yada yada, Montreal happens, and now it's Michaels doing the honors. One wonders how Mike Tyson would look in a Hart Foundation shirt, though.
