20 Most Popular Wrestlers Of 2014 (According To Google Metrics)

7. Brock Lesnar, 58.0% Increase From 2013

Brock Lesnar's increase in searches is undoubtedly down to his conquering of the streak. When he pinned The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30, ending the 21 year streak, none of us could quite believe it. Right away the internet exploded with searches to try and make sense of what had happened. The name Brock Lesnar was on all of our minds. Lesnar has continued this momentum by going on to challenge for the WWE Title at SummerSlam, so a rise of 58% on last year's google metrics isn't surprising. He didn't really do much of note last year, just an average feud with Triple H and one great match against CM Punk. This year has been the opposite, with the streak victory being the biggest result of the century. You're always going to have Lesnar as one of the top searched names on this list. It isn't just that he's got WWE appeal, he's also a UFC legend and somewhat of a mainstream profile. Lots of people will be searching him out.
