Rock and Shawn Michaels never really got on during their late 90's / early 2000's heyday. The reason? HBK had tried to use his political sway to hold Rocky down when the young Samoan first hit stardom in the WWF. Michaels was clearly out to protect his buddy Triple H, who Rock quickly overtook in terms of future main event positioning. That's the reason why we never saw The Rock vs Shawn Michaels dream match in the 2000's. Rocky simply didn't care for a man who had previously attempted to hurt his career. Judging by the above photo from the 2011 Hall Of Fame, all is now forgiven.
