20 Reasons Why WWE Fastlane 2019 Was An Absolute Mess

8. Belts? What Belts?

The biggest crime with Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Nia Jax and Tamina wasn't a botch or an ineffective run-in, but that this WWE Women's Tag Team Title match wasn't about the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles at all.

This was a vehicle to get to Nia and Tamina vs. Natalya and Beth. That's it. The bout itself barely lasted a couple of minutes, and the triumphant babyface champions were dispatched within seconds of the final bell. They were the appetiser for the post-match, and now, frustratingly, it looks likes like WWE are about to prioritise a nostalgia programme over these "historic" new belts.

It's a maddening situation made worse by the beloved Bayley/Sasha tandem coming out as the biggest losers, despite their victory. Why spend time building them and their titles up if you're going to bury them with a stupid Raw angle immediately after? Compare their situation with The Revival's earlier in the night, and it looks like WWE's longstanding tag wrestling problems are already creeping into the women's division.
