20 Scariest Wrestling Moments Ever

17. The Brood's Entrance

When Edge debuted in June of 1998, the young superstar had a goth-inspired gimmick that was mysterious, but little else. When the vampiric Gangrel arrived on the scene later in the summer, though, it was clear there was a history between the two men. They soon began to feud, with Gangrel introducing Edge's brother, Christian, into the mix, but before long, the three had inexplicably formed an alliance.

WWE never gave fans any answers as to what the bad blood between Edge and Gangrel was, or why they were able to set it aside, but as The Brood, the three struck fear into the hearts of viewers - primarily via their ring entrance. With music full of sinister whispers blaring over the public address system and red lights filling the arenas, the three men would rise up to the stage on a platform surrounded by fire. After getting to the ring, Gangrel would sip a red liquid from a chalice, then spit it into the air. It made for a truly memorable scene.
