You'll hear a lot of people say that Ric Flair was the heart and soul of WCW, but that's not true. He was their top draw and most visible champion, yes, but not heart and soul. Sting? He was the self-styled Icon of WCW and its biggest hero, but if if you're looking for the guy who WAS WCW? Man, it's got to be the Enforcer. He was the glue that held together every iteration of the Four Horsemen, he was the one bleeding like a stuck pig in every WarGames match, and he was the centerpiece of the company's stellar TV and tag team divisions.

Despite being a major player in an extremely image-conscious medium for decades, he absolutely refused to strive for any look other than Your Uncle. He’s tenaciously held on to the planet’s worst combover since age 23, and he had the balls to stand next to Ric Flair with his sweatpants tucked into his socks while Naitch was screaming about alligator shoes and thousand dollar hookers. He should look out of place among the Goliaths and Adonises of the wrestling world, but when he’s working he’s this insanely compelling ball of fury. If you’re looking for an analogy, he’s the Edward G. Robinson of pro wrestling. He’s incredible.
