11. You've Become Desensitised To Kane In The Main Event
It's been said many times that The Undertaker - who's celebrating his 25th anniversary as a regular character on WWE programming this month - is the most successful "gimmick" of all time. If that's true, then Kane also deserves some recognition - he's a gimmick that spun off from another gimmick and he recently marked 18 years as a top star in the company. Of course, in Kane's case, his best years as a character and a draw were rather brief - he came in as a fearsome monster, but losses and repeated turns prevented him from having the same legendary status as his storyline brother. Still, as a seven-foot-tall monster and a relic of the ultra-popular Attitude Era, Kane has a spot for life at the top of WWE's card. As recently as this month and the last, Kane has been a major part of television storylines leading to a top match on Pay-Per-View. While that may seem like the normal ebb and flow of wrestling storylines to people like us, sometimes it takes a lapsed fan asking, "Kane? He's still around?" to remind us that the emperor has no clothes.
