In the mid-1990's, Kevin Sullivan was more commonly referred to as 'The Taskmaster' in World Championship Wrestling. Leading 'The Dungeon Of Doom' in their efforts to destroy Hulk Hogan, Sullivan's character was very cartoon-like. The same cannot be said for his work throughout the 1980's. A top heel in Florida, the guy was terrifying as part of the 'Army Of Darkness' stable. In the early-80's, wrestling was a very different world. Vince McMahon Jr hadn't yet undergone a radical transformation of the World Wrestling Federation, and thus business was great across many territories in North America. In Championship Wrestling From Florida, Kevin Sullivan played the gimmick of a devil worshiper, and it helped him get over hugely. Even though he was never the biggest wrestler, Sullivan had a unique chemistry about him. Names such as Jim Ross and even Steve Austin have spoken highly about Sullivan. In addition, before he passed on, the legendary 'American Dream' Dusty Rhodes said he enjoyed his feud in Florida with the man. Carrying snakes to the ring and threatening to disembowel opponents, Sullivan had fans hoping their babyface heroes could get rid of him. During one shoot interview, Sullivan laughed as he recalled the look of horror on people's faces anytime he appeared.
