20 Spookiest Ever Wrestling Characters

16. Nailz

Kevin Wacholz wouldn't have the best end to his career with the WWF. Upset over apparent false promises from Vince McMahon, Wacholz legitimately attacked his boss, choking him out and supposedly threatening to kill him. There was no going back from that point, and the man was never seen again. For the short period he played the character of Nailz however, Wacholz terrified everybody for a different reason. Nailz was brought in specifically to feud with The Big Boss Man in the early-1990's. As a former corrections officer, the Boss Man had mistreated Nailz in prison - at least according to the criminal - and the ex-inmate wanted revenge. Of course, this was exactly the kind of hokey storyline fans had come to expect from the WWF, but Wacholz played the gimmick perfectly. Almost foaming at the mouth, he promised to hurt Boss Man and gain vengeance for how he had been treated. Coming across as a complete psychopath, Nailz was also aided by a cunning post-production trick by the WWF. Lowering and deepening his voice, the production staff added even more horror to the character. In interviews, his brutal tone made people's eyes widen, and he had the look of a man who could snap at any point.
