20 Things We Learned From Brock Lesnar On Stone Cold's WWE Network Podcast
6. Losing To Frank Mir
The two discuss Brock's debut fight with the promotion, which Austin calls a "d*mn good fight" before talking about Brock tapping out to the kneebar. He asks if it was unlike anything he'd ever been put in before since he wasn't well-versed in submissions. Lesnar said he was disgusted with himself because had trained to get out of that exact hold his entire training camp, but he can't explain what happened. He says that when it happened he saw his entire life fall off a cliff thinking White wouldn't re-sign him. When he got backstage Dana was bouncing off the walls with excitement and told Brock the fight was great, He asked his new boss if his UFC run was over and White replied "No. Not at all." They went back to the drawing board and he signed a contract extension which led to his next fight vs. Heath Herring and eventually the UFC heavyweight championship.
