20 Times The Undertaker Proved WWE Is His Yard

13. Winning The WWF Championship After Only 1 Year

Being World Champion means you€™re the most important Superstar in the company. Despite some cases where a show has a bigger match than the title match, the general rule in WWE is that the World Championship match should always go on last, because it€™s the most important position on the roster. Because of that, it should come as no surprise that the Undertaker has won multiple World Championships. But the most impressive win was when he won his first WWE Championships at Survivor Series 1991, one year after his debut, which he accomplished by pinning €˜the Immortal€™ Hulk Hogan. At the time, €˜Taker was the youngest World Champion in WWE history, a feat that wouldn€™t be beaten until 2002, when Brock Lesnar defeated the Rock. For Undertaker to have won his first World Title at such an early point in his career spoke volumes about how much Vince supported him, and how much his popularity had grown in such a short period. What makes this win extra special is that Hulk Hogan had a legendary reputation for politicking backstage, and making decisions that might€™ve been contradictory to WWE€™s best interests. Yet Hogan knew that €˜Taker was something special, and was OK with having a young Undertaker defeat him. Hogan was completely right in that respect. That surprising yet awesome title victory, though short-lived, set the Undertaker up for a long and incredibly successful career.
