20 Times WWE Was An Absolute Mess In 2019

Not all of it was a consequence of poor creative, but Lars Sullivan's year was such a comedy of errors that it can't not be mentioned here.

Five Star Lars debuted on the Raw after WrestleMania, murder-shagging the newly-retired Kurt Angle, then following-up with similar assaults on The Hardy Boyz, Rey Mysterio, and others. It was all downhill from there, however. The man's problematic messageboard history resurfaced, sparking controversy online and eventually forcing the promotion into fining him $100,000. Lars then feuded with the Lucha House Party in a shambolic feud that totally failed to get him over before destroying his knee in their blow-off match, ending his year prematurely.

The injury is deeply unfortunate, of course, but what a crappy year. WWE making a hash of a monster heel push, the forum stuff, dull matches: this had it all.
