Boneyard Match? A riot.

The Firefly Fun House? An unexpectedly deep, subversive dissection of one of WWE's most divisive characters.

Every cinematic match since then? A different shade of sh*t.

From the hokey Swamp Fight spookfest to the masturbatory, self-fellating "theatre" of One Last Beat, WWE has run the concept of cinematic wrestling matches into the ground, crushing something that could have drawn the right kind of interest for years had the company shown restraint. Instead, they spammed them to death.

Each new cinematic match yields increased diminishing returns for WWE, who have fortunately dialled back on them since summer.
