20 Times WWE Was An Absolute Mess In 2020

Really, the entire Horror Show at Extreme Rules pay-per-view could have slotted in here, so absolute were its messes, but we'll stick with the worst of the worst.

The only positive of Seth Rollins' extended feud with the Mysterio family was that it helped establish Dominik as a full-time televised performer. To reach that meagre accomplishment (Dom's athleticism and gumption would have gotten him over regardless), we had to wade through knee-high piss puddles like the Eye for an Eye match, which concluded when a comedy eyeball was popped from Rey's socket.

"It's out," mumbled Samoa Joe, spewing fake gravitas through your speakers.

It's not just that WWE promised a level of violence they couldn't realistically delivering heading into the pay-per-view, but also that the eyeball looked like a table tennis ball coloured in with felt-tip pen. Oh, and WWE undermined the stakes by having the bloody thing "heal" after the show.

Cool.
