Much like Savage and Slim Jims, this one doesn't seem so odd today. Jim Ross has long, long been associated with the promotion of his own line of barbeque sauce and other assorted condiments and meat products, but that wasn't always the case. Nonetheless, as word began to come about that Ross was doing business to market his family recipe, it seemed like a good fit. After all, Ross has the good ol' boy down-home southern appeal about him that makes perfect sense, and it's easy to trust that one such as him might have a good idea about what makes a good sauce. Fans apparently agreed, as the sauce remains a successful product to this day, even continuing to be sold on WWE's Shopzone website well after he and the company had parted ways. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Der9su-vuzA So successful was the product, in fact, that it encouraged JR to open up his own restaurant in Norman, Oklahoma back in 2007. Unfortunately, the enduring popularity of his commercially-available product line didn't quite carry over, as the establishment closed its doors in 2010. Nonetheless, JR remains as synonymous with his barbeque sauce as he is with wrestling.
