20 Worst Wrestling PPVs Of All Time
12. WCW Uncensored 2000
Have you been struggling to sleep lately? Well WCW's got the perfect cure for you!
Uncensored 2000 was a stinker form start to finish. Brian Knobbs vs. Three Count was as daft as you'd expect and Booker & Kidman vs. Harlem Heat 2000 was moderately acceptable, but the show went off a cliff shortly after. The atrocious Dustin Rhodes vs. Terry Funk bullrope match saw Funk change the stipulation to an "I Quit" match halfway through, and started out with Dustin getting attacked by a guy in a chicken suit, before Terry hit him with an actual chicken...
Yes, this really happened.
The slide continued with Lex Luger vs. Sting in a horrendously over-booked lumberjack match featuring approximately 34 individual interferences, and the predictably bad Sid Vicious vs. Jeff Jarrett WCW Title match ended with a Jarrett guitar shot, before Hogan ran down, booted Jarrett in the face, then draped Sid over him for the win.
If that wasn't trying enough, WCW ran with a Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair strap match main event. Neither man looked like they gave a damn at this point, and with the match struggling to escalate beyond basic punches and chokes, Hogan won with a pinfall, then suddenly remembered he was in a strap match and touched the fourth corner after the bell.
Uncensored goes down in history as one of WCW's most consistently awful PPV brands, and the 2000 incarnation played a big part in that.
