20 Worst WWE Matches Since 2000

16. Mike Knox & Kelly Kelly Vs. Kevin Thorn & Ariel (ECW December To Dismember 2006)

Generally regarded as one of the worst pay-per-views of all time, ECW December To Dismember 2006 was a complete disaster from start to finish, with none of the night's six bouts delivering on any conceivable level.

It was an evening peppered with misery. Mike Knox & Kelly Kelly vs. Kevin Thorn & Ariel wasn't the night's grandest failure, and didn't provoke anything like the outrage that met Bobby Lashley's ECW Title win later in the show, but it was December To Dismember's worst match. Easily.

This was primarily down to the contest's least experienced participants. Thorn and Knox were basic, but serviceable. Their partners? Not so much. Kelly was always a poor in-ring competitor, but could usually be dragged to something resembling an acceptable match when paired with the right opponent, though Ariel wasn't the woman for the job.

She was brutal throughout, struggling to make even her punches look convincing, though she wasn't helped by her opposite number's complete lack of selling. Ariel hit Kelly with what was supposed to be an STO for the victory, then pinned her by literally sitting on her face: a perfect metaphor for this fart of a bout.
