20 Worst WWE Wrestlers Since 2000

13. Hornswoggle

An easy pick for our list, Hornswoggle's WWE run saw him engage in a number of fun, light-hearted comedy moments (Extreme Rules 2014's WeeLC match remains an unironic gem), but was largely useless between the ropes, though his matches will never be what he's remembered for.

El Torito, his WeeLC opponent, was a genuinely great worker, but not 'Swoggle. He was a pure comedy performer, and while fine in his role, there's no escaping the fact that this made for some of the worst television in modern WWE history, particularly when he tried to wrestle. His matches were almost always derailed by shenanigans. If that's your thing, then fine, Hornswoggle did his job, but he was a loathsome presence for many.

The wee man's most egregious in-ring phase came in 2007, when he inexplicably became WWE Cruiserweight Champion, sounding the belt's death knell. While the division had never been treated with a great deal of respect, Hornswoggle's coronation was the point of no return. The belt was retired two months later, and if it weren't for the division's revival in 2016, the former Little Bastard would forever live on as its final champion.
