20 Wrestlers You Totally Forgot Held WWE Championships

5. Rico & Rikishi (World Tag Team Champions)

Sheamus and Cesaro might be making waves as WWE’s currently “odd couple” tag team, but few duos came together under stranger circumstances than Rico and Rikishi.

Rico was Billy and Chuck’s flamboyant stylist at the time, while WWE were still attempting to rehabilitate Rikishi as a babyface following his disastrous run as the guy who ran Stone Cold Steve Austin down.

Billy & Chuck were WWE Tag Team Champions at Judgment Day 2002, and were set to put their belts on the line against Rikishi and a mystery partner. Rico was forced to team against his clients, and despite making every attempt to aid Billy & Chuck to victory, Rikishi single-handedly crushed them, and he and Rico were champions.

It proved to be an utterly pointless move, however. Billy & Chuck regained the belts just a few days later, and there was no real follow-up from Rikishi. The escapade did very little for any of their careers, and only succeeded in further devaluing WWE’s already-lagging tag belts.
