20 WTF Moments From WWE SmackDown Live (Sept 6)
14. New Era, Same Old Sh*t!
While the brand extension is great for those of us who can't get enough of WWE's programming, one of the concept's major flaws is the fact that SmackDown's roster simply can't hack the relentlessness that comes with a weekly television show without becoming repetitive. Because it's the shorter show, WWE purposefully gave it a smaller roster compared to RAW and we're starting the see the results of this.
This week's show saw a couple of matches from SummerSlam repeated that had me screaming my aforementioned catchphrase at the top of my lungs.
The first New Era, same old sh*t moment came when it was announced that we'd be having another six women tag match after seeing the same bout - I know Nikki Bella and Carmella have swapped sides - at the biggest party of the summer.
Next, Apollo Crews and The Miz repeated their matchup from SummerSlam, although it must be said that this version on SmackDown trumped their efforts on pay per view. Isn't it a shame that Apollo Crews has absoluyely no charmisma? He's just so damn good in the ring, but has nothing to back it up.
