17. Defending The ECW Title Against...Big Daddy V?
No Mercy 2007 had a fantastic angle involving Triple H and Randy Orton, which only made it more noticeable how terrible the CM Punk-Big Daddy V ECW Title program was by comparison. The match started and was over in barely 90 seconds after Matt Striker interfered, giving Punk an easy DQ win. The booking here just made no sense at all: why would Striker interfere after Punk nailed a fairly unimpressive missile dropkick on V? It didn't exactly look like he was in danger. The way the match was booked did nobody any favours: neither Punk nor V came out of it looking good, which kinda makes you wonder. what the hell was the point?
