20 WTF Moments In Stone Cold Steve Austin's WWE Career

3. Almost Being Embalmed By The Undertaker

Considering what happened to poor Austin at the hands of the evil Undertaker, being tossed over a bridge into freezing cold waters doesn't seem like such a horrible end. A little more than a year after Brian Pillman nearly shot him to death, the Texas Rattlesnake was embroiled in a feud with The Undertaker that also took a very dark turn. On an episode of Raw in 1998, Taker got his hands on Austin, presumably for a sacrifice. Later on in the show, we're taken to a funeral home, where Taker and Paul Bearer pull up, transporting Austin inside in a hearse. Cut to a very, very gruesome scene where Stone Cold was almost embalmed alive. In case you weren't sure, embalming someone involves injecting them with a fluid that keeps their dead body looking presentable for a short period of time, typically to preserve them for a viewing or funeral. Yeah. They were going to do that to Stone Cold while The Undertaker chanted in another language. Austin almost got stabbed with a massive needle before Kane came in out of nowhere and attacked his kin. Talk about creepy.
