20 WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Stars You Totally Don't Remember
12. Big Vito
During the 'Attitude' Era, seeing a pro wrestling wear a dress wouldn't have come as a big shock. In fact, when The Headbangers did it, they remained over. Fast forward to 2006 however, and the whole situation just confused people. Big Vito had wrestled for ECW and WCW, but WWE hadn't shown much interest in him once they bought over the latter. His contract had been acquired by the promotion, but Vito didn't appear before being released rapidly. In 2005, he was offered a reprieve, signing a contract with the juggernaut company. Alongside Nunzio, Vito brought back the 'Full Blooded Italians' gimmick which had been used in both ECW and WWE. Turning heel quickly after his arrival, Vito would then go on to become a cross-dresser. The whole story was entirely out of the blue, but in subsequent interviews, Vito claimed the whole thing was his idea. Developing his new character, Vito actually started to gross out a lot of his peers in storyline, and expose more of his body during matches. This is likely one character WWE would like fans to forget.
